Don't be surprised if you see me mention SKOY Cloths as a "Green and Frugal Tip" in the near future, because this is a great example of a green product that won't hurt your budget. In fact, using SKOY cloths is a great way to save money! One cloth will replace 15 rolls of paper towels!
Let's do the math:
4 pack of SKOY cloths = $6.99
60 rolls of paper towels $1+ each = $60+
____________________
Total Savings: $53+
Now let's talk performance. I tested a SKOY Cloth out doing dishes (above) and cleaning a messy stovetop (below). I love how flexible the SKOY Cloth is to get in small areas that need washed, like my baby food storage trays. Plus they are great for scrubbing food buildup on dishes without being abrasive! On surfaces, I noticed that the cloths are very absorbent and are able to collect food scraps easily. SKOY Cloths are quite durable as well, after using a couple cloths for over 3 weeks now they are still performing great with no tears or signs of wear.
When I'm all done using a SKOY Cloth I either throw it in the dishwasher or microwave it for 1-2 minutes to sterilize it. You can also throw it in the washing machine, but I haven't tried this method yet. I'm so impressed with how well SKOY Cloths work that I've already given some to a friend and my sister, who both also love their new SKOY Cloths!
Buy It: SKOY cloths are available on Amazon.com or at SKOYCloth.com for $6.99 for a 4-pack
Win It: Two readers will each win a set of SKOY cloths to try out!

I learned that the Skoy cloth is made out of cotton and wood pulp and therefore biodegrades beautifully. One of my new year's resolutions this year was to use fewer paper towels, but I still resort to them for the floor or other areas that seem just a little too gross to use towels on. I think Skoy cloths could eliminate my paper towel habit entirely! ailanna at hotmail dot com
